1. General provisions
1.1. These Terms of Use set out the rules for using the PetSOS mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "App").
1.2. The purpose of the App is to facilitate the search for lost animals, the organization of search groups, and the exchange of information about animal-friendly places (POIs).
1.3. Any individual who downloads the App and creates an account in it may be a User.
2. Rules of use and User-Generated Content (UGC)
2.1. The User agrees to use the App in accordance with its intended purpose, applicable law, and principles of social conduct.
2.2. The App has a strict Trust & Safety policy. It is prohibited to publish content (photos, descriptions, chat messages, reviews of places) that is offensive, vulgar, infringes the rights of third parties, or is misleading (e.g., false alarms about a missing animal).
2.3. PetSOS administrators reserve the right to immediately remove content that violates these Terms and to permanently block the account of a User who commits violations, without prior notice.
3. Payments and Subscriptions
3.1. The App offers free access to basic features as well as optional paid features in the form of one-time purchases ("Listing highlight") and renewable subscriptions ("Premium Account").
🍎 Apple App Store (iOS):
3.2. Payment: Subscription payment will be charged to your Apple ID account (App Store) upon confirmation of purchase.
3.3. Auto-renewal: The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
3.4. Account charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current subscription period.
3.5. Managing your subscription: Auto-renewal can be turned off by going to your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.
3.6. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a Premium subscription.
🤖 Google Play (Android):
3.7. Payment: Subscription payment will be charged to your Google account linked to Google Play upon confirmation of purchase.
3.8. Auto-renewal: The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
3.9. Account charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current subscription period.
3.10. Managing your subscription: You can manage your subscription in the Google Play app: Menu → Subscriptions. Auto-renewal can be turned off at any time.
3.11. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a Premium subscription.
3.12. Any refunds are governed solely by Google Play's Refund Policy.
4. Liability
4.1. The creators of the PetSOS App make every effort to ensure the system, including the AI Match algorithms, operates reliably, but do not guarantee that a lost animal will be found.
4.2. The App is provided "as is". The creators are not liable for damages resulting from interruptions in access to the App caused by factors beyond their control (e.g., network or GPS issues).
5. Changes to the Terms of Use
5.1. The creators reserve the right to make changes to these Terms of Use. Users will be notified of significant changes via a message within the App.
